Below they are having a photo shoot with Chris Park, who is officially the most patient photographer in Scotland. Note that they are choosing to feed in the shadow of a monumental John Bellany, as well as a typically sensitive Still Life by James Fraser (which I think they would happily take part in!) Something I learnt this week: it is a good thing to have an iron handy in the car, as well as an assistant to do the ironing. I am very grateful to The Russell Trust for honouring "First do no harm" with their award. I was also delighted to learn that they have received a prize from Inc Tank Gallery. The Visual Arts Scotland Annual Exhibition is on at the Royal Scottish Academy until 1st March. Free admission. Opening on the evening of Monday 5th December: a brand new collection of work inspired by Tanera Mor, one of the Summer Isles - eight artists collected together at the gallery at McNaughtan's Bookshop until into the New Year. All work is for sale through the gallery. I'm delighted to have been asked to be part of this - my paintings below. (A bit of an obsession with Patricia you'll notice!) Plan next year's holiday and find out why to visit the Summer Isles here. An exhibition of paintings and screenprints by Jenny Martin, inspired by the seaside at Portobello. Delicious. See it until 9th December at Leith School of Art. Have a look under "news" to see details of my open studio days. There will be wire to play with in case you fancy hatching your own birds!
